We Finished our Learning Journey at Singapore in March 2025
Our first day we arrived at Changi International Airport at Singapore, we going to the hotel in Bencoolen area. In the evening we gather and having dinner with other teams that winning the competition. We having dinner at Halal restaurant around Bencoolen. We talk about our solutions and knowing each other at that time.
Our second day we are going to common ground to meet Green Nudge community there. We met Li Seng one of Green Nudge founder and learned about urban environment sustainability. Green Nudge doing the activities such as collecting trash at the Coldplay concert, Marathon event follow up cleans the areas around the event, cleaning the beach with community members. We start walking around Bedok area and see the facility to separate food waste and other waste with water systems. Also we visiting apartment building to see their waste management systems and their trash bin is well placed to make the waste handling easier.
We are visiting Singapore International Foundations for briefing the entire learning journey.
Later than we visit the Red Building, it’s youth communities building that held many activities about young individuals to express their ideas about sustainability for Singapore and the world. We learn with Niki about data driven composting soil with IoT sensors power BI to control the soil PH.
We end the second day at Singapore with dinner with SIF and the winners at Bumbu Restaurant
Our third day starting visiting Razer HQ, learning about how Razer implements sustainability with ECO label and using recycle material in their product to help better environments.
After visiting Razer HQ, we are going to NTUs Waste to Energy facility. In the Research facility we learn that waste from industrial waste, can be processed to become charcoal, lime stone, slag, metal, and others material. This kind of MRF (Material Recovery Facility) is unique only Singapore have this MRF type in the world.
After visiting NTUs Waste to Energy Facility, we visiting Com Crop. Com Crop is high technology hydroponic to grow the green plants for everyday needs. Com Crop offer food sustainability while traditional farms inside Singapore is not enough for the food supply. Com Crop have newest technology and great managements to deliver the products to their customers.
Our forth day, last day of learning journey, we are going to SIT University Complex at Punggol Singapore. SIT University is new University in Singapore that have latest R&D facilities and cooperating with many companies around Singapore. This university soft launching at 2024 and currently the facilities around SIT Campus using sustainability that harmonizing building, human and nature. I am excited to visit SIT and would like to continue my Graduate there. The Campus is using less plastic at their cafeteria, also using solar power to powering facility around cafeteria. The foods also good in the cafeteria. This is the Campus of the future.
Later than that day we are going to Gardens by the Bay. We thought that Gardens by the Bay just for the entertainment. When we learn from the tour guides tell us that Gardens by the Bay also one of the innovations of sustainability. It has connected to power plant that using biomass fuel and releasing clean air to keep sustainability for the urban area.
We are thankful for Singapore International Foundation to having us in this Learning Journey. We hope we can collaborate again in the future. ✨
